How have you been? well i think this email must be a shock to you ..haha (don't expect to get email from Krystal) haha :P

Anyhow i was browsing through blogs and i came across your blog.. was reading through your latest post...

Just thought i'll share some of my thoughts..this is going to be abit long winded but hopefully i'm able to get my point across..

Okie ... during august we had an church outreach event .. its our first event ever .. and a lot of effort was placed into this event.. because for us we see a vision of the church getting filled (our church size is usually 40++ ppl and to fill the church its about 500++ ppl)
its a big vision .. and we truly believe that it will happen ..

2 months before the event we started praying everyday.. every night from 7-8pm we will get together to pray.. and we also fasted throughout that time ..

There was a lot of problems that we faced throughout the 2 months ... a lot of ppl problem and also we had to chnge our date because on our original date it was a clashed with another church programme, we also have a lot of ppl problem ..

There is only soo much we can do ... we did our best in telling ppl about the event .. we had poster up everywhere ... and we had pamphlets to hand to everyone .. and we chalked on the floor, and we promote as much as we could... but no matter how much we do in the end we still need the ppl to come ..

But to cut the long story short .. on that night it was the most wonderful night for all of us ... seeing God working miracle in that place .. the night is to start at 7.00pm ... and at 7pm the whole church was filled ... we even had to bring in extra sits .. it was absolutely amazing :)

Regarding your post .. about 'over-burdened'.. there is actually such a thing ... God created us specifically to do a set amount of work .. and we all have our limits .. for me during the prep for outreach .. i stepped way out of my limit .... i was crying and fighting and so frustrated throughout that time ... i was doing soo much more than intended .. i was only in charge of food at the beginning but in the end i was juggling with all the backstage things, buying equipments, lightings, and my studies ..

We need to know the limit of what we can do .. God gave us all different limit on what we can do .. and He gives us what we can handle ..but if we go and do more than what is expected of us .. then we are stepping out of our limit .. and at that time we are being 'over burdened' ...

As i was reflecting on the past few months .. i truly learn that God wants us to serve with joy and if we are not then He is not happy too .. because when we are not serving with joy and when we are so burdened with all the commitment then we are just slowly hating what we are doing..

one thing Xin Yik, God wants us to serve with JOY.. and we are called to reflect His glory in all that we are doing .. for you, you need to glorify His name in your studies, amongst your friends.. and in all you do..

So whatever the decision you make, make sure that you are able to do all that you are called to do with a joyful heart. and above all else pray and ask direction from God.
People will fail us but God, our heavenly father will not .. and he is always there to listen and show us the way..

Another thing that i learnt these few months: i was really bitter because i was looking at all the blessing other ppl got and i was complaining why God didn't bless me with anything .. but i learnt that it was because i was just looking at specific blessings .. like why don't i get flowers and chocolates.... but God truly made me realised that he blessed me with soo much more that i do not deserve any of it .... when i zoomed out of all of my complains and my specific blessings then i was truly able to see all the blessings that God blessed me with .. like blessing me with ppl that was constantly there to help me .. and to pull through my hard days ..

God didn't give me what i wanted at that time but gave me better things.. and last night .. i got what i wanted during that time, God blessed me with flowers and good food 2 months after that .. His timing is the best .. if He gave it to me then, i will never have learn to look at his blessings to me and i will be such a proud person.. and also to fully trust in God.. and also to truly believe that His will is way better than my way...

What really stuck me was God's way is really the best .. i was also really very bitter and angry due to some relationship problems .. but after hanging in there and doing what God wants me to do although it is really hard .. God revealed greater things than what i have expected .. know that most times it hurts to let go and surrendering it to God because human nature we want to do it our way but that hurt is so worth it when we see what God has in store for us when we are obedient to His words ..

I dunno how these will relate to you but whatever it is, Xin Yik you are truly an awesome brother in Christ. You have such a loving heart and your serving heart truly amazes me . and God has soo much more to give you and he is not done in shaping you .. so keep persevering and trusting in His promises.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

Romans 15:13 says "May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit"

Really thanks for your long email that sweeten my spiritual heart. Why? hm... actually the mail i posted was in last year, but now then i got the best feedback and advices plus all the thoughts from your blessed experience, that now becomes the stream of living fountain in my spiritual life & serving journey.

Over-burdened was "true" for me, but i yet remember that "the cross on my shoulder will never be heavier than the grace from Him"... like what your precious lesson learnt...

Truly speaking, I'm running this Youth Cmas Nite at the most "inappropriate" time of mine, but may be the most crucial pivot milestone for MIF & MYF, also, the high school youths that are waiting for this Cmas Event may not be there if we postpone the event to next year. It's all by His grace and mercy that He still leading me along the Cmas Preparation in Dec & my Wedding on 18th Nov... I believe He gaves beyond what we might hv thought...

I got your Big encouragement & spiritually support from our same source... i've been looking for these words from ppl surrounding me all the time since these years after my uni. graduation that was the peak of my serving, and only it was.

I'm looking for your coming back if you could attend my wedding 18th Nov
1.30pm , at our church or at least join us for the Youth Cmas Nite on 22nd Dec...

If you dont mind, shall I put this email into the KMYF blog, because i think it is a blessing to know about your learnt lesson and to be a reminder & encouragement for all of us, especially committee of the coming Cmas Event.

I was shocked by your care & love that flows to me from N.Z, haha... and it's exactly in my time of need... perhaps this is another "best timing" of our Lord... : )

JOY --> is another great word from your sharing, because i also juz realised that is the only remedy to cure my "over-burdened" bondage... thanks sis to be my angel of spiritual supports n love...

hey :)

i didn't realise that it was a post from last year ..haha .. oh i won't be in malaysia on your wedding :S we will only be going back mid dec .. will be making it to the youth christmas night tho :)

i'm sure that it will be a night where God will work miracles ;) keep persisting!! knock on heaven's door and ask God to save ppl's life.. every single soul is important and every single soul saved the whole heaven will be rejoicing .. keep praying for ppl's salvation :D and also for those that are involved in the night itself .. pray that all will rise and connect soo much more with God :)

i can't wait to see how God moves that night and also throughout this period of time of preparation .. one thing to keep in mind .. the devil will try its best to cause disruption because this is something that we are doing for God.. and it is to win souls .. so have to be constantly praying and support each other throughout this period of time :D and also care for the needs of all those that are involved .. that is really important too .. but don't take up everything on your shoulders .. delegation is very important .. but remember to nurture ppl around you :D and don't let the devil mess with your mind .. be sure of the vision that all of you see and keep running towards it .. but one thing that i really wanna stress is keep praying !!! Pray persistently, pray like you have never prayed before :D
